Saratoga Springs Saratoga County will undertake a $40,000 study to determine the cost of pumping water from the upper Hudson River south through the city to Clifton Park as the core of a countywide water system.
Board of Supervisors Chairman Robert Hall, R-Saratoga, led a delegation of supervisors to a meeting with the City Council Thursday at which both sides agreed the county should proceed with its plan.
The study is viewed as a first step toward turning away from Saratoga Lake as a drinking water source for the city, while developing a supply of water for most of the county.
