Gusty winds and sheets of rain almost 5 inches in the Greene County village of Tannersville -- flooded roads and lashed nastily Sunday at holiday travelers bound for home.

The storms, which affected much of the Northeast, also helped delay many flights in and out of the Albany County Airport.
